Overcoming Limitations provides in home and community based ABA services for children and young adults with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. Our services are designed to promote independence, teach new skills, improve performance across multiple areas, and decrease unwanted and challenging behaviors.
We serve individuals in the state of New Jersey residing in Monmouth and Ocean County.
Our services are based upon the evidence-based principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA). ABA is a research based, scientific method that strives to understand and improve socially significant behaviors. The science measures observable behavior and looks at what is occurring before the behavior (antecedent) and what occurs after the behavior (consequence).
An individual’s interaction with the environment is examined to determine the effects that the environment has on a person’s behavior (“why” the behavior occurs). Each client receives an assessment and in cooperation with parents, a treatment plan is designed with goals and objectives specific to meet the individual child’s needs.
